The problem was solved already on the FreeBSD forums. I need to install gstreamer1-plugins-flac in order to play .flac etc. (This was not necessary for clementine for whatever reason....)

@mandiv You need faad2 or fdk-aac part of the gstreamer bad plugins. Not all distros include them, you might need to add a 3rdparty repository.

@jonas Thanks jonas, installing the qt6 packages on openSUSE TW has resolved the issue! Maybe you can add a note somewhere on the GitHub page for letting others know of it too?

@fearless I'd just click Playlist >> Add Folder and point it at the drive / folder you want, save a new playlist and go from there.

Hi @jonas! I just installed and tested version 1.0.3-13-g58eec8df and the error persists (I tested it using this .m3u8 streaming that VLC plays for me without problems). However, although the problem of playing .m3u8 streams in SMP persists, in the end I managed to find an alternative link in RadioBrowser to listen to Radio 3 (with acc codec), which in this case does play it properly for me. So for my part, the solution to the problem is no longer urgent, although it would be interesting if it were fixed for the needs of other people and possible future situations. Please, let me know if you finally find a solution or if you want me to continue testing! Thanks!

@clayman You should open a bug report to Arch about it. libsoup 3 in gstreamer is experimental and not functioning properly yet, refer to this link: https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/releases/1.20/

@jonas Without the playlist the issue does not occur. With the playlist it stops responding. This also happens when loading the playlist on a clean start.

@piuser After doing some more searching online, it looks like the runtime path was changed to "" when I <make install>. I found what I believe to be the culprit in: /home/pi/Downloads/temp/strawberry-1.0.2/build/src/cmake_install.cmake Changed the "New_Rpath" to be the same as the old and it worked fine. I am guessing the Rpath only gets changed when installing it using <make install> and not for the compiled binary.
