      T

      @lunch Maybe you could add column Last Played to the view and sort on this column.
      Another option is to create a smart playlist

      @barelon
      If I remember correctly it should be in a subfolder called collectionalbumcovers somewhere under ~/Library/Application Support/strawberry

      No because Tidal and Qobuz use completely different track id's

      Close Strawberry and try deleting ~/.cache/gstreamer-1.0/*.bin

      Does gst-inspect-1.0 queue2 show it?

      @herculepirate Part of that will depend on where you have your actual music files stored. In Mint the database files are located in ~/.local/share/strawberry/strawberry and the configuration in ~/.config/strawberry. As long as the music files themselves are stored in the same location on the Suse computer (typically in $HOME/Music), you should be able to just drop those directories in your new home directory.

      How big is your library? That seems like an insanely long time to read generate the database. I have around 4k albums and it takes less than an hour to do a full rescan.

      I recently switched to the Trinity Desktop and experienced this too. It's the native desktop notifications through DBus that fails.
      I set the timeout to 1 seconds for the connection. Fixed here: https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/commit/72ff502e0f70b0db75858ef7cf414eed189d075e

      @zoof I had the same issue. You can change [Behaviour] startupbehaviour to 2, for example. Here are the possible values:

      enum StartupBehaviour { Startup_Remember = 1, Startup_Show = 2, Startup_Hide = 3, Startup_ShowMaximized = 4, Startup_ShowMinimized = 5, };

      I'm aware of the issue. The shuffle mode is somewhat broken.
      Bug report here: https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/issues/707
      I will look more into it at some point.

      Oh my god, how did I not spot that !!

      D'oh !!
      Sorry !!
      I've always had it on "repeat playlist", I just restored my original .config/strawberry folder, and sure enough "stop after each track" was selected.

      So sorry for wasting your time !

      OSS is not used anymore, it is just an emulation to ALSA.
      I don't know about Pipewire, I have never used it before, I think you get better answer from Pipewire directly.

      Found this through Google and I've got a solution, as I also have all my music sorted in folders. What you need is mp3tag, and then you need to do this;

      Select 'action' at the top. Make a new action. Set the values; Action type: Guess values Source format: %_folderpath% Guessing pattern: %dummy%\%dummy%\%albumartist%\%dummy%

      Now the 'albumartist' tag is all set according to whatever the folder name is from 2 levels in. My music is all in F:\Music, so one level down is where all the artist folders are.

      Once the group is done, just load your whole music folder, select action at the top again and click on the group you've just made. It'll take a while depending on how big it is. Once done, don't forget to click the blue save icon on the top left to make the changes permanent.
