I know this is an old thread, but I just installed KDE connect on Linux Mint and Android, and it works perfect for what I need.

I have control of pause, play, fast-forward or reverse, previous or next song and shuffle on or off. That is all I need.

@arno I fixed this by changing the area around line 113 in somafmservice.cpp

... RadioChannel channel; QString quality = obj_playlist["quality"].toString(); QString format = obj_playlist["format"].toString(); if ((quality != "highest") || (format != "aac")) continue; channel.source = source_; channel.name = name; ...

And then refreshing the channel list in Strawberry

I also removed the lines

if (obj_playlist.contains("format")) { channel.name.append(" " + obj_playlist["format"].toString().toUpper()); }

Unfortunately the github version doesn't respect the "use system icons" rule so now I'm recompiling from the Debian source version

@CherryStraw Thanks for the response. Of course I know that I can do "stop after this track" if I do it in the playlist. If I didn't know that, I wouldn't know that this feature existed at all, but I have explained above that it is one of my favorite features 😁

My point in this post is that it would be good to have that feature accessible from the Queue also, not only from the playlist. Sometimes the playlist might be very long, and scrolling or searching to find the song to stop on would be troublesome. It would be much more convenient to be able to interact only with the Queue... telling it "stop playing when the queue is empty". This seems very natural to me.

It might be worth observing that where the embedded image is smaller, Strawberry seems to display a background image that is restricted by the size of the embedded image - but it isn't the embedded image, it's the Strawberry-backround-image version with lots of pixelation.

@Giedo I get something close to this - assuming that previously you've listened to the full album - and imported stats from amarok - by using a smart playlist and ordering last played with oldest first. Sometimes it skips (doesn't add) some of the tracks though

If a pitch bend function was included, it also should include timestretching! A nice function too.

@rene So do I have to have the Qobuz app running as well on my PC? How do I select a song after submitting app id and secret?

@MovingSounds I have wanted to do the same. I use smart playlists exclusively.

I've been using the Groupings / Work tags for this for many years. I can't recall exactly where I picked up that tip, but it was from someone else in a tagging related discussion. I use the Groupings metadata as a way to track many things. As you can see from the screenshot below.

Instrumental vs. HasVocal used in a Soundtrack Secondary / alternative genres. If Dolly Parton does a Rock album...you can label it Rock and Country and CountryRock. "Mellow" songs - slower tempo/chill Original vs. Cover vs. Re-Recording Orchestra, BigBand, Opera, (not just "Classical") Top40 - for me, that means it charted on the Billboard Hot 100. RS500 - Rolling Stone Top 500 songs list Disco, Dance (usually for R&B songs) Surf, Garage, HairMetal (usually for Rock songs) AdultContemporary - charted on the Billboard AC chart DrumSolo, Guitar - for tracks featuring these prominently etc.

I also have a grouping value I use to indicate I've confirmed/updated the Year field. Personally, I want the year field to hold the original release date of the track...so if it's a greatest hits album or a various artists compilation, the Year field has the original date of the track's release, and I update the album name to include the year the album was released. That looks like this:

Note: there is an "Original Year" field, but many players don't display or support that. This is a system I've been using for over 15 years...
